As the federal election draws near, Elections Canada is offering advice to help voters submit their ballot on or before the big day.
On October 21, polling stations will open across the country for Election Day—but there are numerous other options to choose from, if you are unable to make it.
Advance polls will be open from October 11 to 14, and select campuses will host their own voting stations under the special ballot process. This will be Memorial University’s second election taking part.
As well, voters can submit their ballots at an Elections Canada office or by mail, by submitting an application before October 15.
Voters must bring proof of identity and address. Without an ID, someone you know can vouch for you at a polling station if they are also assigned to that station.
Details on voting methods, as well as accepted forms of identification, can be found at Elections Canada’s website.
