One person was taken to hospital following an accident at the yacht club in Manuels earlier this afternoon.

Police, ambulance and Occupational Health and Safety were called to the scene after one of the straps on a hoist lifting a boat from the water snapped.

The boat also saw some damage as a result.

Occupational Health and Safety are investigating.
