For the first time ever, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has partnered with Wounded Warriors Canada – National Mental Health Provider to raise awareness about what first responders endure during their line of work and the toll it takes on their mental and physical health.
An ATV ride was organized to get people together to talk about mental health care and create awareness for the organization in the province.
Constable Suzanne Fitzgerald says the ATV ride on Saturday spanned about 90 kilometers with a barbecue and a community get together in-between.
She says that all proceeds are going towards different initiatives offered by Wounded Warriors across the country.

Constable Fitzgerald says the RNC hope to continue working with Wounded Warriors Canada to bring fundraising efforts across Newfoundland and Labrador.
She says the RNC are planning to expand efforts throughout their jurisdictions and partner with as many community organizations as they can.
