It was a reunion 55 years in the making.
Harry Phillips, the man who sold the very first Ford Mustang in St. John’s in 1964 was reunited with the vehicle last Friday.
The vehicle is on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan – And Phillips was personally invited by the owners to come see the car.
Phillips says getting to see the Mustang was an indescribable experience. He calls walking into the museum and seeing the car “fascinating.”
Aside from the car, Phillips got to experience some of the other exhibits at the museum, such as the car that former US president John F. Kennedy was shot in.
He calls it the trip of a lifetime, and the best thing to happen to him in his life.
Phillips thanks those at the museum for inviting him, and everyone at home who had a hand in making the trip possible.
