Memorial University is urging caution on campus after several reports have surfaced of gastrointestinal illness.
In a message issued on the MUN Safe App, officials say the appropriate authorities have been notified and are investigating the source of the illness.
In the meantime, the University has ramped up its cleaning and disinfection protocols.
Anyone with symptoms, including diarrhea, fever, cramping or bloody stool should contact a doctor, student health or 8-1-1. Dehydration is a risk, and may require treatment.
Memorial also encourages proper hand-washing after using the washroom, and before eating.
