A man has been charged after being suspected of hunting from his vehicle.
Baie Verte RCMP were tipped off by the public that a 48-year-old man from the area was discharging a rifle from the driver’s side window of his pickup truck on Route 414 near La Scie to shoot a moose.
Police seized his firearms and the moose.
The suspect has been charged with careless use of a firearm and unsafe storage of a firearm. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Baie Verte November 19.
RCMP remind people that there are regulations covering the use, storage and transportation of firearms.
