Timberlands International, the company behind a proposed multi-million dollar pellet plant in Hawke’s Bay, is updating its work plan.
The company was granted a five-year cutting permit by the provincial government in November of last year.
The caveat was that it would have to harvest 25 per cent of its five-year timber allocation by May of 2021, but there has been no movement on construction of the pellet plant.
The company, a subsidiary of Active Energy Group, is behind ColdSwitch, a biomass fuel produced through wood pellets.
