It’s life in prison for Craig Pope, the St. John’s man convicted of second degree murder in the September 2017 death of Jonathon Collins.
Justice Vikas Khaladkar sentenced Pope in Supreme Court on Friday.
Pope will not be eligible for parole for 12 years.
Pope was also sentenced to 60 days each on two counts of breach of probation to run concurrent to his life sentence.
He’s also prohibited from possessing firearms or other weapons for life.
