A moose-vehicle collision sent two people to hospital last evening.
Emergency crews were called to Peacekeepers Way, near Fowler’s Road, at about 8:20 p.m. last evening after a westbound sedan struck a moose.
The force of the collision caused significant damage to the vehicle, and sent the two occupants of the car to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be serious.
The animal was injured in the collision and was put down at the scene by a wildlife officer.
Traffic was backed up, at times, for close to a kilometer as emergency crews worked.
