An Abacus Data poll on the recent federal leaders debate shows NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh made the best impression on those who tuned in.
59 per cent of respondents indicated that their reaction to Singh’s performance was positive.
Elizabeth May left a positive impression among 39 per cent of those asked, followed by Justin Trudeau and Andrew Scheer tied at 36 per cent, the Bloc’s Yves-Francois Blanchett with 21 per cent and Maxime Bernier of the People’s Party with 14 per cent.
About 29 per cent felt Singh did more to earn their vote, followed by Trudeau and Scheer at 23 per cent.
39 per cent of respondents said Andrew Scheer did more to lose their vote, followed by Trudeau at 30 per cent.
The survey was conducted from October 8 to 10 with a random sample of over 2,300 Canadians 18 and over. The margin and error is +/- 2.0 per cent 19 times out of 20.
