The Newfoundland Growlers edged their first win of the regular season in St. John’s last night against the Reading Royals.
After a loss in a back-and-fourth affair on Friday night, the Growlers came out on top of last night’s rematch in overtime with a final score of 3-2.
Mac Hollowell fired home the winning goal seven minutes into OT to mark his first pro goal.
The rubber match will be held on Tuesday night at Mile One to wrap up the three-game series between the two teams. Puck drop is 7 p.m.
