There’s increased activity near the Health Sciences Centre and Janeway today as part of a ‘mock emergency’ training exercise.
Eastern Health is testing the site’s emergency plan—specifically surrounding a Code Orange external disaster.

The simulation includes actors playing the role of casualties, as well as observers and an off-duty ambulance.
The health authority says services will continue as normal, and additional staff have been brought in for patient care.
