A Liberal candidate says he’s not letting defaced signs bring him down.

A Nick Whalen, Team Trudeau sign on the Outer Ring Road, just passed the Allandale Road exit was found with a big orange and grey “NDP” spray painted across it on Friday morning.

Whalen says he has done his best to stay positive.

He says if somebody wants to deface his signs, it won’t stop him from keeping his head held high. Whalen understands that during an election there can be lots of negativity, but he says they have lots to be proud of, and he won’t let someone defacing his sign change that.

Whalen is up against the NDP’s Jack Harris, Conservative Joedy Wall and the Green Party’s David Peters in what is expected to be a very close race, and riding to watch.

Election day is on Monday.
