A 13-year-old boy and his parents are facing charges after an incident involving an ATV in Savage Cove over the Thanksgiving weekend.
RCMP attempted to stop some ATVs that were operating recklessly on the highway in the Northern Peninsula community, but the machines left the area.

One of the ATVs was located a short time later. It was being driven by a 13-year-old boy with two girls on board.
The child was arrested and charges are pending, including flight from police and operation of an ATV on the highway.
The child’s parents were also charged for allowing a person to operate an ATV while under the legal age.
The ATV was seized and impounded at the owner’s expense.
