A good voter turnout this evening on Little Bay Islands.
Some 30 to 35 residents are currently in the community, and as of 6:00 p.m. 23 people had cast their ballots in the riding of Coast of Bays – Central – Notre Dame.
It’s the last election to be held in the community, which has voted in favour of relocation.
As of December 31, the power is being shut off to the community and ferry service will cease.
