The 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Obama is coming to town later this fall.
His visit to St. John’s is part of his international speaking tour.
The St. John’s Board of Trade put out word this afternoon that ‘A Conversation with President Barack Obama’ will land at Mile One Centre next month.
Obama held a lengthy career before his presidency, including work as a civil rights attorney, and time as an academic teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago’s law school.
He served as a state senator in Illinois, then a US senator for several years before he became the first African American to be elected as President of the United States of America.
He’s expected to speak about his eight years at the helm of the country, as well as give his view on the current political climate in the United States.
