The preliminary hearing for a south coast man accused of murdering his former girlfriend in Conne River last winter is set to resume today in Provincial Court, Grand Falls-Windsor.
Kirk Keeping of St. Jacques on the province’s south coast was charged with first degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Chantel John of Conne River on January 9.

He’s also charged with attempted murder against Anne Jedore, also known as Anne MacDonald on the same night.
The preliminary hearing began on Monday with a day off yesterday.
