The capital city wants to find out why young citizens are not more engaged in civic matters.
As part of its new strategic plan, the city is launching a Youth Engagement Action Team to identify what it would take to get more young people involved.
The team will also be tasked to create recommendations to improve youth retention in St. John’s. That includes identifying barriers to young people participating in municipal matters, as well as topics of interest.
Residents aged 15 to 35 are encouraged to take part.
More information about the team, and how to apply, can be found through Engage St. John’s. The deadline is November 6.
