Work begins next week at the Bull Arm site on readying the Transocean Barents for further exploration in the province’s offshore next year.
Nalcor Energy and Bull Arm Fabrication have signed an agreement with DF Barnes to host the ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drill rig.

Executive Vice-President of Offshore Development with Nalcor, Jim Keating says it’s the second drill rig to be serviced at the site this year following completion of similar work on Seadrill’s West Aquarius.
Work begins next week and continues into the spring. It includes warm stacking, thruster change outs, cleaning of the holding tank and other work.
