The Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship has been recognized as one of the top five emerging entrepreneurship centres in the world.
Florian Villaume, director of the centre, says they have seen over 300 people who are interested in entrepreneurship at the centre located on Memorial University campus.
He believes the close relationships within the entrepreneurship community in the province is a part of why they have had success. He says the groups in the city communicate quickly and easily.
But, he says, you do not need to start a business to be an entrepreneur. He says he sees that the centre is not just about starting businesses.
They encourage people to be entrepreneurial and they work with anyone who has the drive to do so.
