A new tradition for students at Exploits Valley High has sparked the interest of over 65 students.
The spring musical preparations have begun for the third year straight. This year the group is performing “Mamma Mia.”
Tracy Fisher, a parent volunteer, says the event brings the community of Grand Falls-Windsor together so they want to make it the best it can be.
The musical theatre program is hosting a craft fair on Saturday, November 16. There will be over 30 vendors, a rummage sale and a cafe with live entertainment.
Fisher says it would not happen without the dedication of the teachers involved.
She says they have two amazing teachers that have taken on the program at the school. The pair has allowed students to have a voice and be a part of something big in the town. She says it really shows the commitment and enthusiasm they have for the students and communities.
The musical is planned for Grand Falls-Windsor Arts and Culture Centre in May.
