Vandalism to parking meters in the downtown area of St. John’s continues.
Around midnight last night City officials called RNC officers to Duckworth Street with a report of meters being damaged and change stolen.
Officers quickly located a 41-year-old man and 34-year-old woman charged them with damaging meters, as well as possession of gear used for breaking into coin operated devices.
The pair were released to appear in court at a later date.
