A Skate was spotted swimming around the waters at the Lewisporte Marina this morning.
Sara Squires posted a video to Twitter of a lone Skate slowly swimming across the top of the water.
There are approximately 16-17 species of skate residing either as year-round residents or occasional visitors in Atlantic Canada waters.
