Eastern Health is advising the public that all surgical procedures in the operating room at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital are cancelled for the day.

Maintenance to the sprinkler system resulted in water damage occurring on the first floor.

Clean-up has started and Eastern Health has been trying to contact impacted patients directly. Inpatient care, ambulatory services and the emergency department of the facility have not been impacted.

Eastern Health is apologizing for any inconvenience this has caused.
