A driver ended up with a pack of charges after being pulled over by police in St. John’s.
At around 10:00 last night RNC officers stopped a car on Mundy Pond Road and found the driver packing a loaded gun and a taser.
The 35-year-old man was no stranger to the police and was under prohibition from owning such weapons. Not only that, but the serial number on the gun had been tampered with.
The one traffic stop resulted in ten charges, including two counts each of weapons possession for a dangerous purpose and having a weapon against order not to do so. He was also charged with unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm and ammo, and having a weapon obtained by an offence.
He was held for court.
