There was a stabbing in downtown St. John’s around suppertime Wednnesday.
Officers received a call around 5:20 p.m. from a man claiming his wife had attacked and stabbed him.
RNC Media Relations Officer James Cadigan says police arrested a 39-year-old woman at the residence.
Cadigan says she has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and breaching court orders. She was held for court.
The man was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
