A 35-year-old man is dead following an ATV accident in Harbour Grace.
It happened just after 4 p.m. yesterday on Thicket Road in the community.
Police say a preliminary investigation suggests three ATVs were driving on the road when one of the drivers lost control and flipped the vehicle.
The man was pronounced dead at Carbonear Hospital.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
The RCMP are reminding of the dangers of using ATVs on public roadways.
Avalon Trailways Association Responds
When an accident happens like this, it hits close to home for the Avalon Trailways Association.
The area of Harbour Grace has been a big focus for safety and regulation education in the past and the association and RCMP Auxiliary plan to visit 50 schools in the region this year.
President Rick Noseworthy says they feel they have been doing their best and will continue to educate people across the Avalon on ATV safety.
