Seven people have been displaced by a fire in St. John’s.
Crews responded to a home on Byron Street in the capital city shortly after 11:00 this morning.

According to Platoon Chief Dean Foley, the majority of damage was contained to the living room area.
Six people were in the home at the time. All made it out of the house before fire crews arrived.
All occupants appeared to be okay, however one man was transported to hospital as a precaution for smoke inhalation.
