The number of sexually transmitted infections is on the rise.

That’s according to Planned Parenthood, which just received the keys to a newly renovated building owned by Eastern Health. Executive Director Nikki Baldwin says the organization hopes to offer more education to people about safe sex and sexual health.

She says they have been seeing more cases of sexually transmitted diseases.

She says they have seen a lack of condom use and more STIs. Baldwin says they are not sure whether it is because fewer people are practicing safe sex, or because more people are getting tested.
