The days are now colder and shorter, but November 1 was still a recording-breaking day for temperatures in the St. John’s area.
PAL Airlines and Aerospace Meteorologist, Brian Walsh says St. John’s Airport reached a November 1st high of 18.6 degrees Celsius.
He says it was the fifth-warmest November day since 1942.
Peak wind gusts at the airport clocked in at 100 kilometers an hour, and that made Friday the warmest day in St. John’s with 100 km/h wind gusts or more, since September 11th, 2012, during Hurricane Leslie.
