The provincial government has provided a substantial boost to White Hills Ski resort in Clarenville.
The ski hill has suffered in recent years due to mild winters and little snow.
The Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation has provided $100,000 to the Alpine Development Alliance Corporation to help with upgrades to snow making equipment, improvements to chair lifts, and the installation of new snow fencing.
The provincial government says it will continue to work with industry, community-development groups and other levels of government to support economic activity throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
