Less than a week after Mowi offered an apology for its handling of the mass salmon die-off in Fortune Bay, a new CEO has been installed at the head of the company.
The former CEO met with Premier Dwight Ball and Fisheries Minister Gerry Byrne last week to discuss changes to aquaculture policy, where it is said he offered the apology.
Mowi—the parent company of Northern Harvest—said it failed to live up to its own expectations, nor government’s.
Ivan Vindheim was appointed as CEO, effective today. He replaces Alf-Helg Aarskog who lead the company for nearly 10 years.
Aarskog issued a statement, congratulating Vindheim on the new position, wishing him luck in continuing to “Lead the Blue Revolution.”
