The first winter storm of the season is hitting parts of Labrador today.
Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings and winter storm warnings for the Upper Lake Melville Region, and along the coast stretching from the Hopedale area down to Lodge Bay.
The majority are expected to see totals in the 20 to 40 cm range, however the area from Cartwright to Lodge Bay is only expected to see up to 15 cm with the system.
Meanwhile the Red Bay to L’Anse-au-Clair region will similarly see up to 15 cm of snow, changing to rain this morning, where up to 60 mm is expected by midday today.
