A man from Tors Cove is sounding the alarm about a brazen break and enter at his home on Monday night.

Speaking on VOCM Open Line with Darrell Power, Pius Coombs says while he was in St. John’s visiting his son in the hospital thieves broke in and stole two ATVs from his garage, and four shotguns and a rifle from the gun cabinet in his house.

Coombs says he believes the thieves made away from the scene on the quads. He says there were tracks on the gravel road leaving away from the house. He also believes they had a trailer nearby to transport the vehicles away.

The break in happened sometime between 7 and 11:30 p.m Monday night. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
