Costco is warning customers about a fake coupon that is circulating on social media.
The scam involves $75 off at Costco as a reward for celebrating their 50th anniversary.
It also has links to third-party websites that are not affiliated with the retailer.
When people go to these sites, they are asked to provide personal information for surveys and share the Facebook post in order to redeem the false coupon.
Costco stresses that it does not ask customers to provide personal information online unless it’s through its official website.
