Government House Leader Siobhan Coady says the report on bullying and harassment tabled by Privileges and Elections Committee in the Spring will be brought to the House floor in the coming days.
Coady says as a new House Leader, she has a lot on her plate and there have been a few delays in the House during this session, but she assures that before the House rises in December, they will have reviewed the report.
She’s waiting for the committee to be reorganized as there has been some movement and hopefully she’ll bring the motion forward early next week.
Coady says once it’s passed through the House, it becomes the requirement of the House.
She says there is an interim policy in place that follows along with the same policies and regulations that are being used for the civil service.
She says the Committee has deliberated, making some changes as to how the process would work, and be improved for members of the House of Assembly. Coady says that will go to the floor within the next few days.
