A local “Instagram famous” dog has used his social media page to raise over $2,000 in two days for the SPCA in St. John’s.
Hank is a yellow lab with dwarfism and his owner, Allison Best, says when she heard about a need for SPCA donations from the Veterinary Specialty Centre of NL, she knew they wanted to help.
Best says the SPCA were accepting donations for two weeks and received nothing so she felt they needed to give back.
Best says social media can often times get a bad name but there is so much good that can come out of it.

She says people took interest to Hank because he is unique, sweet and lovable so his account took off so it is amazing to be able to use the account to do so much good.
