Bishops College is soon to be Bishops Gardens Retirement Living.
The official groundbreaking took place this morning at the site of the old school off Pennywell Road.
The new seniors’ facility will include 100 personal care home beds, 20 senior’s apartments, an adult day program and a gerontology clinic.
Vice President of Health Care at Fort Amherst Realty Mike Powell says they’re very excited about the project, and they expect to open in about a year.
Powell says they started taking deposits on the apartments this week.
