Matthew Piercey of the Canadian Cancer Society says Daffodil Place takes some of the unnecessary stresses and pressures off cancer patients and their families.
He says cancer diagnosis can set people back psychologically and financially with the cost of travel, lodging, food and taking time off work.
Looking forward to joining @VOCMOpenline in a little while from Daffodil place. #LongTimeProducer #FirstTimeCaller.

The cost of providing services at Daffodil Place is $700,000 dollars a year, with no government funding provided. Piercey says the money raised through the course of the year allows them to offer rooms for a reasonable price that includes the cost of cooked meals and other supports including wigs, turbans and prostheses.
