Two of the four people killed in a car crash in central Newfoundland yesterday were teenage sisters from Middle Arm being driven back home by their grandparents. Their grandfather was also killed and their grandmother is in serious condition.
The driver and lone occupant of the second vehicle was a 63-year-old man from Little Bay Islands who was planning to leave as part of the resettlement in the next couple of weeks.
The collision happened on Route 380 near Roberts Arm Sunday afternoon.
Triton Mayor Jason Roberts knew the grandparents well.
He says they have a fairly large family and it’s a big loss. Roberts says all you can do is assure them that you’re there if needed.
