It’s like Christmas came early at St. John’s Humane Services. An anonymous donor has covered the adoption fees for three dozen cats.
The shelter says it has been at capacity for a few weeks, but this generous act will soon help them settle back to normal operations—as well as find new homes for the holidays for its forlorn felines.
Starting tomorrow at noon, the first 36 approved cat adoption applications will be covered completely, thanks to the donation.
The typical fee of about $140 covers medical examinations, vaccines, microchipping and more.
St. John’s Humane Services says it has also extended tomorrow’s hours until 6:30 for hopeful adopters. Photos and information of many of the cats up for adoption can be viewed online at the Humane Services’ website.
