The Department of Health says the E.coli outbreak that affected up to 30 people last month has ended.

Test results form the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg show that Newfoundland and Labrador was the only jurisdiction in the country affected by the outbreak.

Cases were reported throughout the island.

The investigation found that spinach was the probably souce of exposure.

It is no longer in the food supply and the Department says there is no ongoing risk to the public.
