The second Women in Leadership Conference was a success, according the minister responsible.
The Conference took place in Corner Brook on Friday and Carol Anne Haley says they had a room filled with over 150 women.
She says there were great panels and great discussion.

Haley says they’re trying to create a safe environment where women and girls can come together to motivate, support, encourage and ensure there is an opportunity to reach their full potential should they be interested in leadership roles.
The first invitation-only Leadership Conference met with some backlash about who was invited, and a controversial Dale Carnegie session. Ultimately the minister apologized for it.
Haley says a lot was learned.
She says they learned there are barriers women and girls face when they have an interest in leadership roles, and they’re breaking those barriers down.
Haley says this is just the second conference, and they’ll be taking it across the province over the coming months.
