Parking lots can be a busy place this time of year and a local advocate is reminding the public to use parking spaces correctly.
Local advocate for persons with disabilities, Craig Reid, says people need to be respectful and people with permits for accessible spaces need to be mindful.
He says it is an expensive time of year without adding a fine on top of it.
He says the spaces are not reserved parking permits, they are accessible parking permits so if the permit holder is not getting out of the vehicle to access the premises they are not supposed to use that spot.
He says another thing to be mindful of is the spaces between accessible spaces – blocking those spaces can be dangerous and inconvenient for anyone needing to use a blue space.
