The tragic collision that claimed the lives of four people, including two teenage girls in central last weekend has many people talking road safety.
The MHA for Harbour Grace-Port de Grave knows only too well the toll taken by road collisions. Pam Parsons lost a good friend in a car accident.
She also represents a district that’s seen more than its share of highway tragedies. Parsons serves as parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Transportation and Works and applauds the addition of climbing lanes to the Veteran’s Memorial Highway.
She says there are no words that can bring genuine comfort at a time like this. She says there have been too many collisions on Veterans Memorial and she can name many of those who have been impacted.
