A young girl had her dreams come true after receiving a magical surprise this weekend.
Six-year-old, Emma Clarke from Victoria was first diagnosed with kidney cancer when she was four and a half years old, and this October she relapsed again.
Emma’s mother, Courtney Clarke says her lifelong friends, Amanda and Brian Critch have been a big part of Emma’s life and wanted to give her a surprise to lift her spirits. Clarke says on Saturday they were blindfolded and led into a beautifully decorated barn, and when they took their blindfolds off, there was Misty the unicorn.
Clarke says Emma is obsessed with unicorns and when she saw Misty she was speechless. Emma is normally very shy and nervous but Clarke says it made her so happy. She says Emma was smiling from ear to ear and belly giggling.
Clarke says this surprise was worth a million dollars. She says they spent 314 days in the Ronald McDonald house before finding an apartment in St. John’s and that being away from home has been tough.
Clarke says it was the most priceless moment of her life.
