The trial of a man accused of arson in a fire at Waterford Manor in 2016 began this afternoon in St. John’s Supreme Court.
David Badrudin was charged after a lengthy police investigation. Witnesses at the time reported explosions prior to the fire, which caused extensive damage to the heritage building.
The former Bed and Breakfast sat vacant for some time before it was eventually razed.

Badrudin was a co-owner of the business.
Jury selection in the case took place this morning.
