Newfoundland Sledge Hockey player and Paralympian, Liam Hickey is featured in a new video released by Hockey Canada.

Hickey honed his skills on the Avalon Sled Dogs, playing as a child alongside athletes decades older than himself. Danny Ridgley with the Avalon Sled Dogs says Hickey was brought to their attention by Easter Seals.
Team Canada, featuring Newfoundlander Liam Hickey, will take on the United States in the Canadian Tire Para Hockey Cup gold medal game.
The national squad secured a spot in the final with a 3-1 win over the Russians at the paradise Double Ice Complex last night.
Hickey and Team Canada will be looking to upset the Americans who have won the last five gold medals.
Russia will face off against the Czech Republic for the bronze medal Saturday afternoon in Paradise. .
The championship game will be broadcast live on TSN on Saturday evening.
