The Newfoundland Growlers extended their winning streak again last night to five games with a victory over the Worcester Railers 3-2.
It was a throwback game as the team sported St. John’s Maple Leafs jerseys.
After a scoreless first period, the Railers scored the first goal of the night but just a minute later, hometown player Marcus Power responded on the power play to tie the game at one.
The teams went into the third tied at two. Marcus Power scored his second of the night putting the Growlers in the lead.
The team is on the road starting on Wednesday night in West Valley City, Utah. They play the Utah Grizzlies at 10:40 p.m. NL time.
