Over 200 people came out to the Knights of Columbus to celebrate Christmas and eat turkey dinner yesterday afternoon.
Rogers Rogers Moyse hosted their 12th Annual Christmas Community Dinner.
But it’s not just the food they come for. Each year new and returning faces come out to meet people in their community.
Catherine Drodge has been to every dinner since it started. She says she has no family in town and that this event is one she looks forward to each year. Drodge says as time went on this day meant more to her than just a dinner. She says this day is about community and being with people.

The Community dinner is a first for Jennifer Peddle. She says this dinner is important for people who might not have others to celebrate with.
Peddle says this day is a highlight for many people who don’t have family or friends to celebrate the holidays with.
